tires for 09

What are my options for replacement tires for 09 Ultra. I only found the right size tires at Harley Davidson web site. Not too bad of price though.

A 165/55R16 will fit and last a whole lot longer. Winter tires are best. Goldwinger are using them. I would, but car tire won't fit 07

I don't have an 09, but was inquiring with Metzeler Tires if/when they would be coming out with the 180/65-16 rear tires. They said it would take them a year to gear up to make that tire. I was somewhat surprised, thought it would be sooner. I guess they would have to design, test and make it so I guess that sounds right. If this is correct, don't look for that size right away from the aftermarket.

I don't think he'd want to put a smaller tire on than he already has.
09s come with a 180.

I bought bike on 19th December and have 1500 miles on it. I ride all the time. cold, hot, rainy or whatever. I go through tires fairly quick so I was just trying to prepare. I got about 8k miles out of the dunlop rear tire of my other bike before switching to metzler. I really like metzler tires. This is my first bike on radials so not sure what to expect. I believe the 09 tires have 2 rubber componds for the tread. hard in the center and soft on the sides. I'm hoping for at least 10k miles.
