Windshield Comparisons
Sorry. I know this one's been asked and answered (prob a million times)
For those who have ridden a RoadKing (or Heritage) with the stock windshield, how would you compare it to the RoadGlide? Better protection? It's obvious the overall cutting thru the air has to be better. The Roadking/Heritage windshield is sort of like pushing a barn door down the road.
I just see comments about buffeting and turbulance w/the RG.
The prob I see with the Heritage is the windshield is so high. Most of the helmet and sunglasses buffeting is coming from undernieth. When I have the deflectors on (winter time) it's pretty good.
Comments, thoughts ???
Thanks

I haven't ridden both bikes, just the Road King. But I have cut down the stock windshield and also have ridden with the short Cee Bailey windshield on my Road King. In my view the windshield is easily customized to fit. Moreover, some folks like looking through the shield and some over it. Obviously I want to look over it. It is certainly easier in the rain or with a lot of dirt or bugs getting on the shield. Driving into the sun in those situations is especially tough with a shield you don't look over.
Additionally, some folks are sensitive to wind buffering on their head or helmet, and they say it causes them difficulty with their vision. Only real solution is to try some options yourself.
If you do want to cut the shield down there is lots of info here on this forum. If you want my method just email me.
Good luck.
