Keep in mind that the Ebay prices tend to be high because, as most of them are private sales, most of those people got in over their heads. The bikes themselves might only be worth $13k or so, but the owners owe closer to the $16k mark, and probably can't afford to make up the difference to get out of the loan (without a repo at least).

I think that holds true for alot of the bikes, not just the Street Glides. The SG's got so popular so fast that's probably why you see more of them on there right now.

If you look around, you can get an 04 or 05 Screamin Eagle Electra Glide with low miles for right around $16k. Then you've got the proven work horse 103" and all the extra chrome.

I just sold an 04 with quick release king tour pack, 1 1/2 years of extended service, Fureling Rivera oil pump and Pro Clutch for $16k. It included the cover, gold key, manual, took kit, etc. Be patient, have your money (or financing) ready and look around....the deals are out there.

If you can find an '06 StreetGlide for $10K buy it, and now. The difference between the first year and any of the later model years is virtually insignificant when you're talking $10K. The 6 speed gets the same mileage (or less) than the 5 speed and the extra gallon only means your fanny will get a little more saddle weary between gas stops.

I would guess that with lower production numbers in 09 and 010, that in a year or two when the economy turns around that their will be fewer late model used bikes on the market and should have a positive impact on value.

Note: I am not and expert but I do stay at Holiday Inn as much as possible.

I bought an 08 in September for $15200. 1700 miles on it with a few chrome add-on's here and there. Cruise and Security as well.

I missed an 09 on ebay with 2500 miles, cruise, security, in the Black Pearl. Reinharts, and some other extras. It was a very good deal at 16,500.00
I would have bought it but couldn't make the bid in time.
If your patient, you can find a deal I am sure. (However with the weather getting closer to spring, the prices will firm up some I am sure) The best time to buy is late Dec, Jan, and Maybe some of Feb. By the middle/end of Feb. People are seeing spring around the corner,, prices firm, or maybe even try to go up some.
It turned out fine for me though, because two months later I am on a 2010 FLHX which I LOVE! For only a little more money.
