Hey guys,
new to this forum. Sold my Deuce a few years ago and want to get back in the saddle some time this year. Really like the Street Glide. What is the general consensus out there: With the economy being what it is, will we see values of used Street Glides go down or do you think they will pretty much depreciate (as little) as they have in the past? Thanks for your thoughts!
i went from a duece to Street Glide 07 and you will love the difference. as far as price, i am sure with economy the way it is you should be able to find a great deal on one depending on where you look and how far your willing to go. try craigslist.com for a local search.
thanks for the quick response guys. over the last few months it seemed as if the prices on ebay and craigslist were still pretty steady... around $15k-$16k for an '06. was wondering if anyone had seen anything lower than that...
I suspect the '06s are going to be worth even less by next summer. The changes to the touring line overall since '06 have been monumental, everyone is going to want the 96/6-speed, and the bigger tank, and the ABS, and the new frame, etc., etc.
I'd go with at least an '07 unless you don't care about resale.

You are correct and I have to disagree with these guys. I think they will hold pretty good value. I don't see them tanking. The MotorCo is producing quite a few less bikes to help keep resale up. Plenty of guys have the 88s and 5 speeds. Shockingly they ride just fine. I don't see them tanking either because not everyone needs a six speed and all the goodies. They just want a Harley and 1 or 2k price deferential is enough to get a lot of folks to jump on board.
