I guess that's what they're called. Was over a friend's yesterday. He's got leather covers that snap over his front guards, top to bottom. He loves them saying he's ridden in 8hr of rain, his boots bone dry. I've never ridden in rain but suspect that's coming. He doesn't remember where he got them.
I've got soft lowers coming. Definitely made the decision after my New Years ride in 20 deg. weather. Not only the rain but the wind protection also. Worth the investment!

you've got three options here;
1. Vinyl "Elephant Ears"- relatively in expensive and work great
2. Leather "Elephant Ears"- More money more upkeep, but work just as well
3. Hard Lowers- WAAAY overpriced from the MOCO (aftermarket availiable @ a more reasonable price) works great but not really designed for easy on/off use. If you are a sunny day only rider not really needed.
Personally, I use the vinyl E/E's ( and we need them alot here in Ontario). They work 1st class and I can get them on or off in less than a minute
