Default Security System-Smart Siren II

Has anyone installed a Smart Siren II kit on an 09 Road King? I have one from my 07 Sportster that I would like to put on the 09 RK. Just looking for any insight or tips. Thanks

Well first off you'll need to verify that they both use the same part number as there are different part #'s for different models & years.

I checked at the dealer and online and it's the same part #. Shouldn't be a problem but the 07 was PIA because the length of the wire harness just fit.

You have a bagger. Gotta be plenty of places to put that little black box...Zip ties and velcro are your friend...

Default smart alarm

Unless they moved it the touring bikes put it under one of the side covers. On my 08 it is under the left cover. And the plug is plugged into a dummy socket right next to it.

I don't have the Smat Siren II, but I do have the Smart Siren on my 09 RKC that was installed by the dealer before I picked it up. It worked fine except for the fact that I could not be set to chirpless mode. I could not stand the arming chirp every time I turned the bike off. Come to find out, the dealer installed an older model siren on my bike and it was not fully compatable with the security system. Once they installed the up-to-date siren it worked fine and I was able to set it to chirpless mode. The Smart Siren II may not have this problem though and you may not mind the chiping sound if it does.
