It was 83 f. in North Texas Sat. I had to throw that in for our friends in the colder climes. Anyway, some friends and I went for a little scoot and decided to stop at a place that sells bikes. They had one of the big Victory touring bikes out front and the salesman ask me to sit on the thing and start it.
Let me start by saying "I hate the way that friggin thing looks!!". I looks like a space ship. After sitting on the thing I have to say it felt kinda comfortable. The handlebars seem really wierd though. They extend a long ways from the front of the bike. The windshield looks like it is abour 4 feet from you.
I started the bike up and it sounded good. The bike felt lighter than what I imagined. I started to ask if I could take her for a spin, but I didn't. My impression of the thing is that it might be a comfortable touring bike, but it is butt ugly IMHO.
What are your impressions of the bike? has anyone of you ridden one?
They have lots of options. But too much plastic. They have been around alot longer than people realize. Captain James T Kirk use to ride one when he was on leave from the USS Enterprize.
Sorry I forgot to mention you guys in the warm south suck. I am in northeast Kansas, I left for a ride Saturday, it was about 50 degrees. Got up to 60 degrees. Headed home and about 20 miles from home the cold front greeted me. Drove the last 10 miles at 30 degrees with a 30 mph head wind. Ride On
I rode one this last summer. My cousin works for Victory and gets a differnt Victory evey year. It is UGLY, 100%. It does ride nice, a little learning curve, the thing is frikin huge. All in all it was comfortable and did have power, but it is to space age for me.
does it have a radiator? I gotta tell you, this engine heat on my 08 is driving me nuts, making me wish I had looked at the Victory Vision. I admit it is ugly at first, but I saw a black one with chrome and it didn't look too bad. anyway, having a rough week with my 'Glide cause of the heat issue, I couldn't seriously trade her..hehe...errrrrrr....ummmmmm
