Speakers installed
Thanks JustDennis
I can't seem to find just the amp on their website, so I sent them an email to see if it is available
I installed the Infinity Kappas on my Street Glide over Christmas. Aside from losing a couple of the fairing Torx bolts in the lower fork triple-tree shroud (and then having to dismantle all that to get them back out), the whole thing only took a couple of hours. A few comments:
1. For sixty-five bucks, the best sound improvement you'll ever get
2. Don't worry about marine grade - the speaker cones are are woven glass fiber, and it would take torrential rain and gale force winds blowing SIDEWAYS to get any real water in through the grill
3. The standard HK head unit will clip the signal when you crank it up too loud - a sound wave is naturally a sine wave shape (gentle undulations). When the amp is stretched, it turns the sound wave more square, clipping the humps and bumps, making it distorted. A more powerful amp is the solution to this - for a given sound volume, it won't be pushed as much.
4. The Kappa has the ability to wind up or down the tweeter levels - since high frequency sounds are unidirectional and low frequencies are omni directional, I'd suggest winding the tweeter right down. With the speakers in a car door, you need a brighter sound because the high frequencies do not have a direct pathway to your ear. With speakers pointing right at your face, you want the tweeter levels at their lowest.
5. A 5.25" driver is never going to give concert hall bass, but the Kappas are a BIG improvement over the standard crappy chinese speakers that HD install in the fairing.
As I said before, $65 shipped is a big saving over the original $150 MSRP and they are a quality sounding speaker. I should also add that I have a 9.5" windshield and I wear a skid lid, so my ears aren't covered.

Well put, that was exactly my piont when i was told i needed marine grade speakers. My original post was just to inform everyone that i liked speakers so far compare to the JUNK HD stock ones.
Thanks for the pionters on turning the tweeters down. I turned them down when i installed them thinking without an amp running them it may be over kill.
Thanks
