Screen retracts in rain or when washing. Sold HK head unit for $500. Basically got DVD, HD radio, Bluetooth and Nav system with a 7" screen for $100. Additional $100 to install with 3 year extended warranty. Can't go wrong! How much is the new Zumo 660 gonna cost?
I agree seriously nice set up but I rarely keep the front wheel on the ground so I would be afraid it would be short lived on my bike. It is a good deal concdering the xm module is $600 for the harmon karden.

What did you use for keeping the handlebar controls?
Another question. I have the chrome bevel faceplate around the radio slot and was wondering if you all think this would affect being able to use the splash cover? It looks like it closes the opening slightly.
In my case the splash cover does not work due to my bike having the same chrome bezel around the deck opening.
Got caught in the rain once. No problems. Just be careful if you are washing and splashing water up in the area.

Thanks for the reply. I might try to fab up a cover just for extra protection. I was worried about the bezel and figured it would be a problem...By the way, I think I remember reading one of your older threads on the HK radio and the Speaker error. Mine crapped out the same way.

Since it doesn't fit I'm going to try and cut the corners out of the splash guard and see if that will allow it to compress enough to fit.
Cost to try = 20 minutes of my time maybe. It's sitting uselessly on the shelf anyway.
