Got my 08 FLHT may 08, Just went over 17,000 mi. on the stock dunlop,Never got more then 12K on my dyna or shovel FL. I still have 3/32" of thread. Are the new dunlops that much better now? does anyone have better luck? The front isn't half worn out I'm sure I'll get way over 20K on it. Just got my new rear (same kind of course) from UPS and will change it next week It will have over 18,000 by then. I am impressed!!!
I was pretty happy also when I got 13500 out of my stock dunlop on my road king. I only used to get abt 10k on my dyna. I too switched over to a metz. We'll see how that goes.
I've gotten around 15k with Dunlops on the '05 E-Glide that I had before. Front tire close to 30k.
I'm mostly on the freeway on my one hour commute to and from work and am a conservative rider. Road surfaces in your region will make a difference too I'm sure.
I got 13k-ish on my Stock Dunlop on rear, front still alive at 20k. I ride two up 99% of the time. Would have liked and expected more mileage from the rear tire than the 13k I got.
Had just over 18,000 on one of the rears on my '05 Road King and when I changed it, it still had some life left in it but I was going on about a 3,000 mile road trip so changed it before we left. I think I'll stick with the Dunlops but we'll see how much mileage I get with the new Ultra. Check tire pressures often. But don't ask how to do it!
