I have the HD adjustable one.

But check out the Mustang. It should be easier for what you are describing.

Yep, HD rest is the one to have.
I'm guessing you've never owned the Mustang rider backrest, have you?

Out of all the "mods" my backrest (standard HDone ) was the BEST investment by far. Installs and removes easy and spring loaded to fold dowwn for the pax getting on

Yeah I searched on e bay and found a "almost new" for 100.00 bought it..it was brand new......lucked out

Don't know why they call one ajustable and one standard as the standard ajust too. There is a little allen screw in the back. Advantage is price which you like and you would be able to add the new Harley heat shields that are incompatable with the more expensive ajustable one. good luck.

The standard harley backrest works fine for me. It is adjustable with a allen wrench. Definately did not push me too far forward. My passenger really likes the backrest so I leave it on all the time unless I am using a back seat luggage bag.
