I have that unit in my truck and it is wicked nice! Thought about putting it on the bike. Now that I have seen yours I will have to think some more. Only problem I have had with it is occasionally it will lock up the iPod and you have to do a hard reboot of the unit. Other then that it works well.
I think you did a good job with that install. I have been using the iJet for my ipod. Like you, I have my ipod in the trunk. Ran a cable to the aux port of the radio. The iJet has a small remote that I clip on the windshield bag.
Yours has the advantage of being able to see the song titles and playlist and such. Great job!
