You can leave like that, or put a high flow air filter plus an engine management system. Do a search on Stage 1 and you will get a lot of results which will give you options on which way to go.
does it cool it down ? what does it do ? whats the purpose
The "Stage 1" is actually the slip ons, air intake, & tuner (download) combination.
The download remaps the factory tune back to the stock 14.7 air/fuel ratio that gets leaned out after adding an intake.
Will the download make it run cooler, no. It makes it run like stock.
The tuner (PC-V,SERT) takes the place of the download and can be set at any a/f ratio desired. This can let the bike run cooler at the expense of fuel mileage. More fuel than 14.7 (13.7), is richer (cooler), less fuel than 14.7 (15.0) is leaner (hotter).
You gain power anytime you add more air and fuel to an extent.
I have an 09 with rinehart slipons and want to know what my next step shoud be
In my opinion, if you do any more than the slipons, your next steps would be a more "free flowing" air intake, Tuner & Dyno. If you do nothing more than the slipons, you probably won't need to do anything as it will (should) run OK but not much differently than stock....just louder. Obviously, the intake and Tuner will make it run better but there is a cost to do it.
Your next step should be to post an avatar and signature along with signature photo of your bike. Welcome to the Forum!
And tell us where you are!
Standard bikes have to meet severe noise and exhaust emissions, which limit performance. Stage 1 is a way of undoing some of that harm, partly to make the bike sound good, but also to release some of the pent up performance buried in the engine. A better air filter improves breathing, different mufflers improve sound and scavanging, tuning the engine management system sorts out what goes on between those first two, best sorted out and optimised on a dyno.
When you did the slipons you really should have also at least done a Remap on the factory ECM just to get the most out of them through that ECM adjustment.
