I am ready to do my 5000 mile service. Should I put amsoil in all three holes?

 

dont put it in the primary whole. to slippery for the clutch.

 

Works good for me and several others in the primary. Oh well. IMO, put gear oil in the trans.

I know you're looking for advice but this horse has been ridden to death. You can get a consensus if you do a search on the subject and read the previous threads. Please, please, please do that search and let that subject rest in peace.

 

I use Amsoil in all 3 holes with no problems at all.

 

I use Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W50 in 2 holes and their gear oil in the tranny.

I use amsoil 20-50 in the motor and primary amsoil 75-90 gear lube in the trans

 

This guy asked about Amsoil. Yes you can use it in all 3 as many do but i found that a heavier gear oil SVG 75w 90 helped smooth out the shifting. No it is not too slippery(time to do some reading).
