Heard really good reports from this company when I was a regular on the BMW forum.
I also know several people including myself bought from the local Ikea - $20 - A real steal & real comfortable, cool in summer & warm in the fall
Just bought mine from Costco. Nice and thick, large enough to do 2 seats, and got a black one to match my bike.
I recently did the EXACT same thing. Got the charcoal colored sheep skin seat topper from Costco for $40. Stripped off the padding that was attached to it, and cut it to match the contour of my Sundowner touring seat. Not sure if this is the norm or not, but the one I got was mostly a 1 piece pelt, with a little add-on piece (that I cut off). Very good quality sheepskin, very good fit, very comfortable.
Shamelessly, this is actually the 3rd one I've done in the past 3 months. I seem to have a problem filling my gas tank. The freakin' Ca nozzles have that vapor recovery thingie, and they have 2 speeds (fast & super fast). And when they spill, they REALLY spill (or should I say spray)...all over my bike, including the previous 2 sheepskins... Yes, I stooped down to buying one of those HD "idiot-can't-fill-up-his-bike" nozzle adapters. Hopefully that will take care of my "issues".
I have two Alaska Leather pads, great product....I never though a peice of sheepskin would feel so darn nice....makes a world of difference on a long trip.....and they are cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.....
