Default RE: Sun Ray Heated?

The harley grips have changed. The went with a different switch. We took one set back and got a newer style. Took awhile to get in though. The ones on my bike have been good but the ol lady's failed last year.

Post Sun Ray Heated?

I have the Sun Ray Heated seats on my 09 Ultra. Ihad them installed when I bought the bike. They were a butt saver this last winter here in Washington. My opinion is it was the best investment I made next to the bike.

I have the sun ray heated seat, but not the one they put on the CVO. My seat does NOT have seperate controls for heat to the rider and passenger. It was also 1/2 the price. As for my opinion of the seat, it is fairly comfortable, although i prefer the room my tallboy seat gives me a bit more. When its cold, its the sunray, when its warm, its the tallboy (or stripper seat if i'm around town). I used to have a Pillow Look seat, and it was by far the most comfortable of the bunch. Looking back i wish i would have kept the pillow look seat, and sent it off to mean city cycles to have it worked for added room and heat added.

I have a SunRay Heated seat on my '09 Ultra. I love the heat controls, and when I have a passenger, she enjoys being able to control the heat as well.

So far, the weather here in CO hasn't been sufficient enough to get in a lot of 'long distance' rides, though the 2nd day I had my new bike I did put 347 miles on.

So far, I would say that the SunRay Heated seat is an okay seat. I'm a bit spoiled, in that prior to my accident on 04/25/08, I had a Road Zeppelin Air Adjustable on my '07 Ultra which was pure heaven.

I am considering a road trip to Grand Rapids, MI in late May to attend a HS Graduation and that would be a great test of the seat (1150 miles each way).

I am considering sending my stock seat to meancitycycles, to have them do the "Memory Foam Modification" so that from late Spring through late Fall, when I don't need the heated seat, I can put the other seat on and have maximum comfort.

If I had to make a choice again, I would buy the SunRay Heated seat simply for the heated seat which has definitely come in handy a few times since March 21st.

Good Luck!
