Any of you that switched to Redline Transmission Fluid ever have any of your seals leak as a result? I'm using SYN 3 now & am thinking of switching. Also, how often do you change the Redline? Thanks.
I went to Redline after 10,000 miles. It started to leak at about 20,000 after I done the service. The local HD mechanic told me I had it too full. Drained it down to the full mark and ran it. No more leaks. I just changed it at 30,000. At about $10.00 a quart, not that much more than regular oil price, But a heck of a difference in ...shifting, finding neutral, noise.... For me, I will not use anything else. I love it.
I ran Redline Heavy Shockproof in my 2006 EGC without a problem, but also without any great changes in tranny shifting, noise, etc. Changed at 20,000 mile intervals as the manual recommends.
Never seen ANY oil make a seal leak.
If a seal leaks, it's because the seal is bad.
All this hokus pokus garbage about synthetics causing leaks is hilarious.
Synthetics are so "slickery"...they seek out leaks that were there, but not yet detected.
Redline is great stuff. My trans seal dripped like a ***** when using HD Syn3. Switched to Redline and the problem went away. I suspect that is due to the high viscosity. Change it out every 4k to 5k miles.

Why do you leave it in so long, trying to kill it?
