go to ebay. more chrome on there than you can imagine. try to do it yourself. the dealer will bust your butt on labor.

If you have the time, it might be fun to try and do it yourself. It will be cheaper than going to the dealer and you will take more pride in your ride when you have customized it yourself. Good luck.

may i suggest also purchasing a service manual? Nothing like getting to know your ride inside and out. plus, like springer said, you'll take more pride in something you have done yourself!!!!

I have always enjoyed the labor of love in installing my own parts. The only parts I let the dealer install before I picked up my Ultra was the chrome fork uppers and lowers. This is my first glide as I have always had softails. I didn't want to mess up the air ride...after that...I do it all myself. I bought the service manual and just go for it. It's much better than paying them the labor rates. They made enough money off of me when I bought it.

Enjoy your new toy and shop around until you find the best deal.

check out www.mandmcycles.com they have great prices and service to boot.

duke,

It's so easy to install most chrome dress-up stuff I would pick it and do it yourself. Check out the accessories on Harley's website. They're endless. I'll include a pic of my new '05 RK Classic so you can get some idea of what you can do. The accessories I installed on my bike are too numerous to list (includes a lowering kit and Chubby bars) but you can see some of the dress-up stuff. I installed Harley Stealth floorboard inserts since the pics were taken. Let me know if I can be of any help.[8D]

I have found that Harley of Oscala has the best prices. You can call them or order them over the internet. They are cheap shipping if any and I think that they give a internet discount of like 15-20%.
