16" windshield
Has anybody run a 16" windshield on their Road King.
I am 6' and the CCBaileys tech is recommending the 16" replacement to me.
It looks great but it seems kinda short compared to stock.
I'm looking for feedback on the size b4 I buy.

While out of town I added a windhield to my RK Custom. Had to have it and didn't buy smart.
I just measured it and it is 20" from headlight cutout to the top.
I'm 5'9" and need to sit UP to see over it.
I plan on changing my seat soon and will likely move to a 16" after that.

Hey Jake!
Wow. Talk about timing. I just got my 16" windshield from UPS yesterday (P/N 57767-00) for my RK Custom. I put in on and went for a spin. I'm 5'-11" - 6'-0" and the air starts to hit me just at the eyes. If I sit upright more and stretch, I can put my head up to where the air is compressed and boy does it hit you then. If I shrug down, it's like being in a car. I also have the fork deflectors on. I ran it on the highway, and I thought my head was going to get knocked off; so much for a higher airflow at higher speeds, which some claim. I was wearing a skull cap. The top of the shield is at my mouth. I have the stock seat, so when I get a Mustang seat, it would put me even higher; from what I've read.
In short, I'm packing it up, and sending it back. I ordered the mid-low windshield (P/N 58325-06). It's 2" higher and should put me right at the height I want. With the tip of the shield being level with my nose, I should be able to see over it and not have it distort my vision too much. I can live with the edge of the shield in my line of sight, but I can't ride with the wind hitting me in the eyes.

I cut my standard (17.5" I think) down to about 14"-15" and love it. I stand 5'10" and the top of the windshield is level with my mouth I presume. I bought another standard (new take off) for use during winter riding, but never use it.
I used masking tape and ran a strip at maybe one inch below normal, dropped it another inch and so on until I finally ended up lopping 3-3.5" and would do it again in a minute. After you get it and look at it awhile, the standard height looks rather odd.
If anyone is interested in my process drop me a PM and I will explain it. The only tools needed is courage (to cut a perfectly good windshield) , Dremel tool w/ plastic cutting bit, roll of wide masking tape, a piece of poster board (a laminated piece is preferred and what I used, like a monthly planner available at work or office supply house) , sandpaper, work table and about 30 minutes of time from start to finish.
