Well it was bound to happen sooner or later and it could have been a hole lot worse.
I dropped by Road King last weekend well I say dropped I was not even on it. We were taking new pictures of it since I did some new work and had a new place to take pics. I had the kickstand propped up on a rock like I have done several times and after it had sat there about 20 mins over it went with no one around.
It trashed the intake, took out the passenger side forward control peg, dented the front fog light, chipped the paint on the front fender and scuffed the paint on the bag lid.
All and all it could have been a lot lot worse, new parts are already on there way and I am going to take the opportunity to finish up some details that I have been meaning to do, but man does that feel suck watching you bike go over and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

Let me make you feel better. The day I picked mine up at the dealership, I was going to take a few spins around the parking lot to get used to it since I had never been on a Ultra before, or a bike in a long time. Got it out of the showroom and into the parking lot which was empty. As soon as I fired it up, there wer about 35 bikers standing out there watching me. I did my few spins, shifted gears and made a few circles. Though I had it going on. Puleed up next to my wfie smiling for all I was worth. Stopeed with the front end slightly turned to the right with the front brake! Down it went right in front of everyone. Talk about felling stupid! Now I hadle it like a pro, thanks to ordering Ride Like Pro as soon as I got home. It's benn a year now, and I can turn that sucker on a dime, But it was a terrible beginning. No damamge thankfully. Feel better now?
LOL yea that would suck I think I would have had to find a different dealer to shop at due to embarrassment.
I was at my local dealer a few months ago during demo days and watched a guy drive about 10 feet then lay down a Road Glide the same way you did. Needless to say his demos were over for the day.
Trust me happens to the best of us.. my 08 Electra is the only Bike never been down at least once on.. ( Banging on all the wood in sight ) I only have one complaint why did every time I went down had 100 people watching ... never went down on an old deserted road with no one in sight ...
That sucks that it went down. It hasnt happened to me yet...I have seen my father in law drop his and my cousin drop his. I hope to hell it doesnt happen to mine! BTW jswarek that is one sick bike....very well done!

that was always my biggest fear, i was always thinking Lord please don't let me be the guy that drops his new bike on the first day. glad you came out of it with just a damaged ego.
S--t Happens! I dropped My 08UC when I first got it a year ago. Front brake pulled Me to the Pavement. No damage, except for My Pride. Has'nt happend since, and I hope it does not again, but We learn from Our mistakes. Good Luck and Ride Safe!
Put mine down a few times doing the Ride line a Pro coarse. Never had any damage, thanks to the highway bars being covered with rubber hose and the bags off.
