I am a weekend biker/ motorcycle enthusiast.. I have a lawn and a dog and a 401k and a job..But on the weekends and a couple nights a week I dress like a pirate and ride with my friends ... I enjoy riding and the life style as much as any 1%er ever did... I am comfortable with any label you want to hang on me
Call me anything you want. Biker, motorcyclyst, bike enthusiast, it's all the same to me. Some people think of a biker as the 1% bike gang member so they try and differentiate between the two. That said, the bike gang member (biker) is still a motorcyclist so as I said, call me what you want. I take offense to none and don't feel the need to seperate myself.
Amazing. I thought I would help keep this post going. The English language has a number of words that can describe a single item or idea. And each of those words can several meanings or definitions. And if you wait long enough someone will come up with another term for whatever the topic is. Then there's the best part, everyone will have their own interpretation of what the term means. Sometimes people agree with it and quite often now people get offended somehow. You just have to decide how important this is to you. Me? I don't care. As long as your on the road with your favorite scoot that's all that shoul matter. Who cares what someone calls it. Forget the terms and just enjoy the ride. Have fun. Be Safe.
Wow, 17 pages! I do not consider myself a hardcore biker, although I do sport my leathers once in a while- for safety and because I can. I would like to add that whenever myself or the misses wants to go for a ride, we dont say "Hey, you want to go for a motorcycle ride?", No, its, "Do ya want to go for a ride on the bike?" So, I guess that makes me a biker. To each their own.
