Neither, I'd say I'm a Fanatic if I had to choose a label. There's absolutely nothing I'd rather be doing than ride. I live to ride and am thoroughly pissed off anytime I cant ride my bike whereever it is I'm going (do to rain, have to haul something I cant get on the bike, etc). If I'm not riding then I'm thinking about riding or wishing I was riding or I'm on here with all of you, lol.
I think the whole controversy is totally ridiculous.I've been on two wheels with an engine for 35 years. In this time frame I have ridden Harley's and Japanese bikes.I will ride with anyone on two wheels, it doesn't matter to me what your sitting on.Just enjoy the ride. Most people are looking at arriving at their destination.I'm into it for the journey. So who cares if your a biker, motorcyclist or rider.
My question is this: What do you call the guys and gals who trailer their bikes allover the place to only ride them at their final destination?
Again, Who cares? They are doing what they want to do. What do you call people who worry about what to call other people????????..........think about it.
After 1 x Suzuki (trail bke), 1 x Yamaha, 3 x Hondas (one a trail bike), 2 x Ducatis, 4 x BMWs, 2 X Harleys (and still owning both a BMW and a Harley) and 35 years of motorcycling, I'm not sure anyone knows what to think - least of all me. The only thing I know is that over time I have just adjusted my machinery to the income and the terrain, but it's always had to be 2 wheels. Hell, I even stopped for a couple of years when my kids were small but 2 things were for certain. I was always gonna have another bike (although now I'm fortunate enough to have 2) and my main goal was a Harley bagger (which is one of them). So, I suppose (by other people's definitions) I'm a dad, a biker, a motorcyclist, an enthusiast, potentially a RUB, and it makes absolutely no difference to my enjoyment of riding or what I wear, who I ride with, who I wave to, etc. Just enjoy!
My father-in-law says he's a motorcyclist and I am a biker. He says he can tell because when I have to ****, I find the nearest secluded place where nobody will see me and let it go. He waits until he can find a clean restroom.

Oh, is that how the distinction is made? Then I guess I'm a biker too.
I golf and sometimes have not been made to fell welcome by other golfers. Having said that, I have yet to go anywhere on my "bike" and not been made to feel welcome by "ALL" kinds of "riders"
"that's all I've got to say about that"
