well since you asked, i paid $18,000 for my new 09' flhx with no options.
I paid $793 tax and dmv fees and that's it. Total=$18,973.00 otd!
They gave a hd battery tender, hd cleaning starter kit, hd leather vest with local hog patches and a year local hog membership.
All in all i say great deal.
goin in on sat. To sign the paperwork for two new bikes.
$1500 off msrp.
$16000 on trade for the ultra
$14500 on the flhx (both bikes '07's and are almost stock)
i went in knowing exactly what i wanted. What i wanted for trades and what i wanted for new bikes. Be prepared to walk if you dont get what you want...they will call you back.
It could be, but I didn't read it that way. Let's let the gentleman clarify. Just because the dealer posts a price doesn't mean that he's representing it as H-D's MSRP.
Craig, the sales manager at Racine Harley tries to tell me Harley's MSRP on that bike was $1,000 over what it is listed at on Harley's website. Straight up lie! Now if he would have said our price is,,,
I would have understood and just walked away.
You have to watch the places that don't have the Harley hang tags on the bikes.
Rip off warning! Racine harley has there touring bikes msrp marked $1,000 over harley's msrp. Jagoffs!
Thanks for the note. I was about to run up there but screw 'em now. Woodstock was doing the same thing too, but Mchenry (same owner) is a lot more straight up with the customer. It's like two completely different worlds.

Thanks for clarifying for us. If you know the MSRP and they straight-up lie about it, that's someone to avoid. If they're dishonest trying to get your business, how can you trust them to support you afterward?
I thought you mistook the posted price for MSRP, but clearly that wasn't the case. Apologies for my misunderstanding.
Now I still think the vendor has the right to set his own price, but I damn sure don't agree with telling lies about factual data (e.g., MSRP) in order to deceive someone to make a sale.
big st. charles motorsports in st. charles mo. new owners, great sales staff and service dept. all i'll say is over two thousand off MSRP. out the door price.
Found the followig deal. Think it is good but not great.
2009 Vivid Black FLHX (in the box at the dealer right now), cruise, security and ABS 20,409 (MSRP) zero dealer fees (no freight, prep...etc). $8500 trade for my 2005 FXDI with 45,000 miles.
Financing through HD @ 9.99% (I have very good credit). I did mention that I thought the rate was high and that they would have to throw the security in or I would finance the bike elsewhere. I am considering also asking them to throw in the 1000 mile service to seal the deal.

I'm thinking you could get a little more on trade if you cry about it. I guess it all depends how many dealers are in the area.
