Ok, now I'm confused. Do you use pledge instead of waxing? I would believe that with all of the automotive products out there on the market today that you wouldn't have to use furniture polish on your motorcycle.
Don't use it in place of a good waxing...just as clean up between waxings.
I still wax every few months but the pledge used inbetween helps maintain the slick finish longer.
I have used Pledge on everything except the leather and tires for nearly 10 years. I wipe it down before or after any ride of more than an hour or so. My scoots get about one good wash per year although I hate to put water on her. When I sold my 9 year old black Roadstar last year, the paint and chrome still looked in showroom condition.
Pledge started for me as a way to clean off the face shield on my full face. Then a friend mentioned that it was all he used on his bike. Gave it a try and found ti worked pretty well. To each their own with their Harley. Some are far too picky to ever use pledge on their bike. I usually wash and wax, and in between use pledge.
EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!! +1 the paint scratching piece of crap!
I use it VERY lightly to brush off the dust before wiping it down and haven't had a problem. I could see scratching the paint if using too much pressure.
What do you use other than the duster when just doing a wipe down between washes? I can't see wiping the bike down without getting the dust off somehow...
