Carry a Gerber and Leatherman, depending on which I grab. Sometimes both if out for a while. I'm also amazed at how many times I used them unexpectedly.
Packing list - Leatherman Surge, Gerber Suspension, M-tech knife, tire pressure gauge, Sig Sauer P220, underwear.

Thumbs up

I still have my original leatherman given to me by my boss at the time when they first came out. I have carried it every day since. Worn out three of the leather pouches in the process. Used it to repair a frozen primer line on a Cessna 207 in Alaska outside Bethel and get me and 5 eskimos off a frozen lake and back home in minus 40 degree weather. Used it to change out batteries in a C-185 skiplane on the Ruth glacier out of Talkeetna and got a load of tourists home with the weather closing in. I dont think a day goes by that I don't use it for something. The guy that gave it to me passed away in '97, but his gift still serves me well to this day. I remember him fondly every time I use it.

OH Yeah...........Any "multi-tool" is a must and a weight saver....my Leatherman probably saved me more money and time than any other tool.

I carry one every day on duty (fireman) I have used it countless times. The main use is it seams like is disconnecting batteries after a auto fire or crash, the knife is very handy also. It did help save a life we were at a pin in accident where the Hurst tool didn't work I took my leatherman out and repaired the tool, the person that was trapped had there foot 95% amputated from the crash. We didn't have to wait for another company and there Hurst tool.

Nothing like a Leatherman. My brother gave me one years ago and it's still like new.

I have had a leatherman since day one, can't even start to tell all the stories about mine over the years. I have only had about three different models, but the super tool is my favorite for what I do. I have sent mine back about 3 or 4 times and it comes back brand new. I will never have any other make than leatherman. I literally carry mine EVERYWHERE I go. The only time I was without it lately was when we flew to Phoenix to pick up our bikes to go on an out west trip. It was on the bike when I got there and that was the first thing I went for when we landed. Leatherman has a great big thumbs up in my book.

I bought a spare one time just to have while I sent one back for repairs to the blade that I just wore out. Oh yeah, my advise to anyone getting one would be to get one with locking tools, don't ask me how I figured that out.

There's somethings a biker should never be without. A bike, and a knife. Leatherman is a great choice. Tons and tons of miles on mine. Never replaced, but great longevity. At least 15 years old. Blade's getting thin'....

Original Leatherman since forever, always a lifesaver, had a Leatherman Super Tool since almost forever and is even better, never had to send either one back and they have been with me through hunting, scouting, and biking all over the place.
