Plug for trailer lights
This is just a public service post. I just wired the plug in for my 4 pin plug on my trailer and it was easier and cheaper then I thought. Harleys are set up with the brake and blinkers seperate so if you buy just a simple trailer with a 4 pin plug and you don't want to splice or cut your wiring harness you can go to open road outditters and they have a whole set up for $144.00 but I only bought the H-D pass thru harness for $44.00 and a simple 4 pin plug from the auto parts store, plus I already H-D Run-Turn-Brake controller installed. I plugged the H-D pass thru harness into the Bike harness after the Run-Turn-Brake controller and I did not need the 5 to 4 wire converter at all. Just thought I would try to save your guys some cash that can used for chrome. Plus when I don't need the trailer plus I just remove the seat and unplug the wiring hrness and take out the Pass thru hraness, plug the wiring hraness and I am ready to go,no loose wires hanging around while I'm not using the trailer.Don't let someone try to sell something you don't need.
