All you have to do is look around in the threads here. For one, at the top of the forum is the "sticky" thread about horsepower/torque and Dyno'ed numbers. That is a good place to read about many different options from numerous engine builds.
Also, use the "search" button and click on the "advanced" search so you can narrow down your search. One good way is to narrow your search by focusing on the "touring" forum, that way you'll focus on more threads pertaining to your type of bike.
Everything you're looking for has probably already been said and even current stuff on 09's.
Ride it a while. See what you really need after some miles. Seat, backrest, handlebars, chrome front end, chrome stock wheels, motor work, it's all there for you to make the call. But I like the idea of just riding it a little before you go crazy. You just might save yourself some good $$..
