I am thinking some about changing the bars on my bike. The Glider bars are what I'm looking at. Pros and cons would be nice or just some input on changing them in general. Looking more for comfort. The stock bars have always been ok. I'm willing to change if it makes the ride better.
what size are your bars TW? I've been looking at bars for 6 months and haven't pulled the trigger yet. No question Yaffee, Roland Sands and www.toddscycle.com have some very cool bars out. The latest one's I've looked at are the ones from Todds. They come in flat black, gloss black or chrome and offer a great deal of size options as well as the options to have the decorative gussets added under the bend of the bar. The bars specifically designed for Batwings come in 10" or 12". Check em out.
Removing my Roland Sands bars to install some Yaffe Monkey bars. RSD bars seem too short on a batwing.
I email'd BaggerNation regarding my application.
They tend to think I should try a custom built 10" bar because of my height.
I'm 5'7" and ride with the Mustang solo seat, which sits me down in the frame a little more than the stock did.
Not to steal the thread, but those with my height situation that are running these bars...could you chime in with what bars you're running?

I think your Sands bars are 9" if they are the ones made specifically for batwings. They look cool but don't look much taller than stock. At 5'7" I wouldn't think you'd want to go much past 10" though. Take a look at the one Todds cycles bars I linked in the post above and let us know what you think. I'm 6" and have had 12" bars on a Fatboy and they were about perfect, so I'm thinking thats that size for my SG but 10"s look pretty good too. I want the bend right at the top of the fairing and the grip part coming back just above the speaker.
Do you have a link. I'm having trouble finding the home site for those bars. I would like to see some more of their bars. I think I would like 10's in that same bar if they make them.
