are we talking about the joints for the shifter or the engine ?? im interested in the engine ones any info on these??

I just stopped by my dealer to ask about his knowledge and experience with replacing these joints. He highly recommends it even though I intend to purchase from McMaster-Carr. Says the shift is noticably smoother, the parts last forever and it couldn't be simpler to do. You want to match the length to the original set-up, more or less, but it's hardly critical. A change in the length of the shift rod will not affect shifting accuracy, only the position of the shift pegs. Also, since I have the $42.00 shift rod cover I don't care about getting chrome hardware. I'll get stainless from the hardware store.

They are the same, just get the bolt also.
