I'm just under 5'11, but most of my height is in my upper body. I probably sit as high as many people that are 6'-2 or 3". I went from the 4" stock windshield to a 9-1/2" H-D clear windshield that I used all of last year. It helped immensely, but my helmet and my Wife's helmet still get some buffeting. I've ordered a clear 10" Windvest windshield with the turned up lip since I've heard that the lip throws the wind about 4 or 5" higher that the straight windshields of the similar height. It is supposed to arrive this Friday and I'm hoping to try it out this weekend if the weather cooperates.
