Default tip for hogtune install

I got as far as taking out the old speakers. When I turned the screws out they turn hard and make a helleva screech! I almost Sh;t! I thought they were going to break off! But all turned out ok, the speakers sound great. Just thought I should prepare you for the sound!

I just installed mine and I swore that something was going to break, be it the screw or the plastic mount. but like you everything came out fine. And on a side note I got the new hogtunes speakers with the amp. What a difference. On my 06 SG I put the j&m speakers with no amp and there is no comparison. PEZ was great to deal with, answered all my questions and after I ordered the shipping was quick.

They also get pretty warm coming out of those holes, (friction) be careful when you grab them.

It's a good idea to lube them with soap when re-installing, makes things go much easier.

I didn't notice a squeak when I installed mine. Maybe it was warmer that day or something. Interesting

The other thing I noticed and wondered about is this, with the larger hogtune speaker the outside of the speakers rests, hits the fairing support brackets. Is this a big deal? if so why? Does everyone notice this?
