I'm starting a new project on my road king I'm adding a amp and 6 x 9's in my saddle bags and wanted to know when wiring my amp what do I wire the remote wire to. Or do I just direct wire it to my battery with a toggle. Thanks in advance.
is there somewhere else, I don't have a cigarette lighter.
It is supposed to be tied into the 12v 'ignition' wire on the back of the radio. That way the amp is only on when the radio is.
If you connect it there, and also add a switch, you can turn off the amp & still listen to the front speakers without the amp draining the battery. Presuming you are only using the amp for the speakers you are adding to the saddlebags.

I don't have a RK repair manual so where is the ignition wire located.
