Anybody use the HD brand matched spray paint? I was thinking about getting a can of the Vivid Black to paint my new tweeter pod, just curious if it would look decent. Anybody have experience with it?
Just painted my inner/cap with it - matches perfectly, easy to use, fast drying.
I didn't clear coat it but wet sanded it with 2000 grit sandpaper and buffed it out by hand with Maquires #3 then #7. Near perfect - no orange peel and smooth.
The pods outta be a sinch!
I'd recomend a DIY in a second with their paint - pretty pricey though!

Thanks Scorpion, that's exactly the kind of info I was looking for!
duplicolor gloss enamel same paint diff. label half price
+1 H/D's vivid black is just that black.... The duplicolor should work fine... PPG plain black base clear works great too if your doing something larger.

So you guys are recommending the Duplicolor Universal Black Auto Spray can? I can see where black is just black, I just want a good match. HD paint at $25 a can is a little steep though. (I know, I know, you paid $XXXXX for the bike, what's another $25, I can hear it coming already... )
