I was taslking to the parfts department guy at my dealersip...a person whose opinion I totally trust. He told me that Arlen Ness bling is really a garbage; very cheap and made only for non-riding show bikes. I was thinking about getting his billet fuel console door and console cover. Have any of you had good experiences with A.N. stuff?
I have Arlen Ness mirrors on my bike which had been added by previous owner. The chrome on the stems is pitting and bubbling and there is chrome flaking by glass on mirror itself. Stock chrome on rest of bike looks fine. I would be leary.
I'm using the AN Bick Sucker air cleaner backing plate and think its one of the best designs out there for keeping the oil from weeping onto the lifter blocks. My air cleaner cover has an AN center medallion on it thats OK too.
I am also using an AN single shifter arm because I liked the looks of it more than anything else I found on the market. No issues with the chrome so far but I have to continually tighten it to the point I think its gonna strip the threads to keep it from wiggling on the shifter spline. If I could find a single arm shifter from someone else that I liked as much I would probably switch to it.
