Default I Pod ?

Anyone know if there is a aux jack in the back of the stereo so I can run a connection from my fairing to my trunk for my I-Pod. I have a wireless control so I would like to keep the I-Pod in the trunk.
Thanks

No, but some one did a write up on how to add one, I have it saved somewhere. I found it but it was on another forum so I don't want to post here.

THere is not a direct connect but as stated in the previous post there is a mod you can do. Search AUX in Rear of radio and you shall find it.

Seem like a LOT of work to hide a cable. I plug my iPod into the front of the radio and keep it in either the fairing lower glovebox or my jacket pocket. When I stop, I just unplug and go.

A little experienced advice (I have been using iPods on motorcycles for four years now): keep it in your jacket pocket. Vibration can kill your iPod. I have had it completely freeze up by carrying it in the tour pack, the glove box in the lower and last week in Bike Week when it was in the fairing windshield pouch. All three times, it took waiting until the battery was dead and I was able to recharge it without apparent permanent damage (hopefully). You may get away with it and you may not, but there is no problem ever when carrying it in my jacket.

+1 Bluzmn59......

I am ruining my second IPOD. I am going to get the one without the moving parts....I believe it is the nano.

I have a 6' cord running under my gas tank up to the fairing and it hides and pops out of the right side (facing the front of the bike) and into the aux jack. I have an Ipod magnetic case attached with velcro on my panel after the seat. I can control the ipod easily, although the easiest way is to create playlists and have 60-70 songs ready to go.

The way I have it hook up works well for me, most people never know it is even there, but now on my second Ipod, I will say it has already frozen up a few times. I will try it with a nano and hopfully the fact that there are no moving parts in it, will give it a chance on this vibrating bucket of bolts.

Yeah, get a nano...it's a flash drive so no moving drive to crash. I had pretty good luck with my old 80 gig classic if I wrapped it in a micro fiber towel and placed it in the lower storage on the Ultra but the nano velcros right to the dash.
