Default Cheap improvement to HD accessory looks...
I like the flames collection stuff that HD puts out, but they almost always look unfinished to me. Like my front fender skirt...I used blue painters tape to mask it, ran an exacto knife around the borders, peeled the tape, lightly scuffed the exposed chrome with emery cloth, and painted it flat black. So far it's been almost two years and nary a chip or anything...

Did my derby cover the same way, only I used some liquid masking fluid I bought at a hobby shop since the flame design is a bit more intricate...

Very nice. I asked a powdercoater about doing that with the police derby cover but he said he couldn't. I'd like to do it, but wouldn't want to ruin it.

I love custom accessories. Your items look SU-WEET! AS already stated, you could easily make some extra spending cash offiering these types of services to others.
