That's a good reason to buy AT. I'll give 10:1 odds that you'll like it.

Just had this happen to me for the second time in a week today. Came here looking for an answer before I call Fuel MOto.

I started this thread and I'm still having the same problem. I can't blip or gently roll on the throttle. Any throttle movement at all makes it stall which is a real pain at a light with traffic sitting behind me wondering why I never learned to ride! I've got EITMS turned off for now but I'm wondering if it keeps the engine from overheating when it works or is it mainly there to keep the rider comfortable or both. Anybody know?

Marc

+1 on this issue....installed powerduals, MOs, SE AC and PCV this weekend. Today coming into work the EITMS kicked in at gate...big puff of smoke and stalled...I did however feel some hesitation before this set up, but not nearly as pronounced with stage 1 installed. rolling the throttle does work, but it is kind of a pain everytime you stop in traffic...hoping there is a fix. by the way, Jamie sent the PCV based on the pipes and AC I told him I have so I am assuming the setting in the map are correct.

I have had the pcv on my 08 egc for a little while now and has been in heat managment and have seen no problem but i have driven man. Trans my whole life and with 4 or 2 wheels you have to compensate for situation hill or heat managment, i love my pcv and fuel moto is the gravey on my biscuit.

Is that not the case?
Well, now it's June and my EITMS hasn't kicked in at all, even in stop and go city traffic. As it kicked in quite a bit in October before I installed the PCV when temps were similar, I can only attribute the improvement to the PCV and Jamie's custom map and also to the oil cooler I installed in November. The bike runs much cooler.

It has gotten a good bit warmer here and on a coupe of the 90+ days I got stuck in traffic. I can tell the PCV has helped. My bike hasn't gone into EITMS when it would have last year without the PCV. SO far, the couple of times it did go into EITMS mode with the PCV it has not been an issue. I just give it a little throttle and ride away.

The '07's have EITMS either active or inactive by the dealer, and there is no rider option to activate or deactivate it. I activated EITMS in September 2008 and it has turned-on only once, and that was in my garage while I was fooling around with the PC software when idling, which happens at 290° (front head temp). When it did kick in I had no problem with hestiation or dying when I rolled the throttle, although I only did it once or twice.

I agree with you that the oil cooler and more moderate AFR's in Fuel Moto's maps keep things cool enough to minimize EITMS activating.

as i read more about the 09's and with them being the first year of production of the new frame and like the eitms, i'm happy that i kept my 08 when i could have traded it in towards an 09, but can't afford to bite on the newest flavor of cheese each year.

Emwolb, I'm pretty sure the '08s run just as hot as they've got the same EPA-mandated tune.
