Let us know what you decide. If you do decide to make a change, feel free to PM if you're wanting to sell your V&H Ovals. I might be interested. If so, I'd appreciate some photos, and the number of miles you've logged with them. And tell your girl friend "Thanks"... for me.

How do these rank in the order of loudest to quietest and if anyone has experience with the performance comparison side of things, what's the order of potential power increase? Probably the more noise the more performance, but I thought I'd ask.

Thanks in advance for your comments.
IMO, they rank from quietest to loudest (on a stock bike) as follows; 1) 65259-00 2) SEs 3) SuperTrapps.
I have a set of 65259-00s in a box that couldn't cut it once I went to a HQ 95" build. (I loved them on the stock 88)
I have a friend with a set of the SuperTrapps on an '08 SG and he loves it, and it sounds great. The SEs are a wee bit quieter than the STs, but louder than the 65259-00s.
You're welcome to try my 65259-00s, and since you're in Canada there wouldn't be any issues dealing with with Customs. I'm sure shipping won't be a big deal from Vancouver.
Try 'em. If you like 'em you can have 'em. If you like 'em but prefer to get a new set, give 'em to somebody. They have the billet slash tips. They were on my bike about 2 seasons.
If it were me, I'd suggest the QT tries earplugs if she doesn't already. I NEVER ride without them, never have, and never will.

Great advice. I wasn't so sure it was that easy to get a new girl but at you can see by the attached picture of me and my new girl - it's easy. <G>

BTW, my apologies to the real guy in the photo.

Default Thanks For Your Comments

Thank you to everyone who posted comments. You can alway count on the members of H-D forums to offer comments and suggestions to help out another rider.

Buying mufflers without hearing them is like buying a painting without seeing it. You never know if you are going to like it/them.
