I realize a lot of y'all aren't as fortunate as we are in the south to have good weather and ride most of the year. Well the good news is the weather down here is great and we do get to ride the majority of the winter, the bad news is even though they're bikers out almost all year we still loose a lot of brother due to some cager driving with their heads up their a$$!!!
I've been seeing a lot of post where the weather up north is getting better and a lot of y'all are planning on dusting off your scoots and polishing them up for a spring ride. Well unfortunately those same cagers I mentioned above are out an about up north also and the bad thing is they haven't seen a lot of biker this winter and aren't looking for any during the early spring when a lot of y"all are out for your first spring time ride.
Lets be careful out there and drive very defensively, because remember just because the driver of a cage looks you right in the eye's it doesn't mean they see ya!! Good luck, ride safe and have one hell of a fun ride!!!

A friend of mine went down several weeks ago when a car pulled out of a parking lot and crossed 3 lanes to get to the left turn lane without seeing his bike that was in the middle of those 3 lanes. He laid on the horn and nailed the brakes but could not avoid hitting him. Spent a week in ICU, but is back home now and doing well (thankfully, he had a DOT helmet on). Bike is a different story. Looks like the cager is going to get a reckless pinned on him, which he fully deserves!
He is a very experienced rider, but the situation was beyond his control. Be careful out there, and make yourselves as visible as possible! I know there are different perspectives on this, but I'm a proponent of loud pipes for this very reason.

Way too many bikers goin' down in my neck of the woods....sure wish they would all stop and think a little before they jump on thier bikes and remember that they must ride defensively to stay alive. The cars and the ground will always win...something we must always remember. Be safe everyone!
