Default Honda spray

I've had many bikes since '62, almost all with windshields. IMHO, the Honda Spray Cleaner & Polisher, absolutely the best!!! Works as well on bags, fairing, etc.

Windex is the WORST possible thing to use on your lexan shield. It contains Amonia, and will "etch" the shield. You won't be able to see thru it after a while. Buddy ruined two shields before he figured out what caused the problem..He thought it was the towels he used..

I use nothing but Novus on mine. always have, and always will. Nothing else is every used. Water to loosen bugs, Novus to clean and polish.

I have used REJEX on my Jeep and pickup, works great on glass windshields and paint - but I thought it was not suppose to be used on clear plastic - But I could be wrong, will have to check the instructions on my bottle - but this is the best wax / polish I have ever used.

I throw a wet cloth on the windsheild for 5-10 mins -- then wipe off with a microfiber cloth.

Soak a clean (cloth/microfiber) towel, in water, place over the real nasty dried bug splatter, then I wipe the windshield with plain water soaked towel. Then I clean/polish with Plexus

I lay a wet towel over it when I start washing my bike. When I'm done with the bike I pull the towel off and give the shield a good wipe. The bugs come right off.

I agree...Nothing a little soap, water and elbow grease can't take care of. I also throw a wet towel over it prior to cleaning for about 10 minutes. Using Windex will eventually haze your windshield.

Try Honda Spray Cleaner & Polish. Been using it for years. Great for detailing as well. Priced right, too!! Also, paper towels have a surfactant in them. They always leave a film. Same goes for any towels or rags you wash if you use a fabric softener. I buy shop rags at BJ's just for car and bike use and wash them separately in plain soap flakes like Ivory. Rags come out chemical-free.

Default Hot water and some pledge or plexus.

Best way to clean bugs off of anything is to put a good towel or old shirt in some really hot soapy water and let it hang on the windshield. The hot water /soap will just loosen everything off and then you can finish up with a little pledge or plexus to do the final cleanup. As was said, never use paper anything because paper is made of wood and wood is a bit scratchy, isn't it. Just use a nice soft cloth or micro fiber and you will be good to go.
