Ride...I have rident 28000 mile in 21 months with them...

The group of people I used to ride with don't ride that often anymore either. Used to be either Saturday or Sunday each week 5-9 of us would ride somewhere for lunch. Now I am lucky to get more than 1 other to ride. It was nice to BS at water & fuel stops. Don't have to stop for fuel as often now with the SG. 6 gal tankis nice but still stop about every hour to Strech, Drink water & use the restrooms. The group I usually ride with doesn't drink beer & ride. Which is good for me sence I don't drink anymore. The local HOG seams to want to drink more than ride? Will try them a few more rides to see? Local SCRC acks like a click, if you ride with some others they get mad. One even said I was taking away rides from their group. So if anyone in Central Florida wants to get together & ride some weekend email me at gmurdock@aol.com . I love to ride & meet new people.

I've always ridden alone. I guess I haven't missed as much as I thought I was. I do have one riding buddy now who I've worked with for 20 years and is an experienced rider. He just got a new RKC a couple weeks ago and now we ride 30 miles to work and back each day which I've been enjoying. We plan on some weekend rides too in the local mtns. Not sure if I'd want more than a couple bikes anyways as from what I've read above you have to accomodate way too many different people and their gas stops, food breaks, bathroom breaks, etc. Not to mention riding skill levels, etc

The only people I have to ride with are my parents and now since I moved they live like 40 minutes away.
I work with a kid who rides a crotch rocket but we don't ride together. He has his riding group and I'm not into crusing the interstate and cruise strip all night riding like a mad man. So when I get to ride, I ride solo mostly.

I met most of my riding buds right here on the forum. I posted that i was looking to meet other riders, then posted a ride in our area. the first ride was about half a dozen of us and the group has since grown to over 40. we don't all ride at the same time but there is a ride posted almost every weekend. We have had as few as 2 and as many as 27 at one time. we have a great bunch of people and meet for other activities besides riding, BBQ, beers, shooting, etc. I know it is a little easier here in a major metro area like Phx but I was just looking for a couple of guys to ride with and had no idea that I would meet so many great people. Been riding with this group for over a year and have not had one problem. Well... there was the guy who's toupe flew off his head but that's another story. Try the regional forum and good luck. ride safe.

Got 1 good friend I ride a lot with.Mostly it's just me & the wife.
We like it that way. We go where we want,at our own pace &
stop when we want.

We pretty much ride alone. No friends around here. A couple we used to be close with and ride with all the time just stopped calling and coming around. Dunno what happened. I know they are still around here. We get together with some folks that we met on here once or twice a year. Too far away for regular rides. HOG chapter is out because there is no way we could attend the meetings. And just looking at the site and reading about their planned rides it seems like a bunch of stuff-shirt richy-rich people. A few guys that I work with ride but we work opposite weekends so can't plan any rides. With all the bikes I see around I wouldn't think it would be that hard to find a small group of folks to ride with.

Now I will admit that riding alone is the best way to do it. Go where you want and stop when you want. Come home when you want. But it is nice to hang out with like-minded riders from time to time for rides.
