I was riding a 07 street glide that had 36000 miles on it in 26 months until Dec 13 when I T-bone a deer at 75 mph, I just replaced it on Jan 3rd with a vivid black 09 street glide which has 4500 miles on it and I hate the ride of the new 09. anyone out there having the same thoughts of the ride between the 07 and the new frame of the 09 linetramp1@cfl.rr.com

I also had an 07 that i thought had a amazing ride. Then I test rode the 09 and though it was like a rock. I felt like I was riding a hardtail bike. Come to find out later that the bike I rode didnt have any air in the suspension (how they come from factory). Other than the bumps, it rode alot better than the 07 tracking wise. Im putting 13" shocks on mine when I get it and will sell the 12" stockers. I hear that makes a nice ride.

Learning something new every day. Thought that the SG had 11 inch shocks, while the EG's have the 12 inch stock. That's why an easy way to lower the rear on the Eg is to install SG shocks on the rear. Harsher ride though.
My 2009 Street Glide came with 0 pounds of air pressure in shocks. Added 10 lbs to carry my 145 pounds of weight and loved it. I could feel every groove on the road before that.
Complaints about the 09'. I wish that my wife had not told me to go get a new bike so soon. I could have waited for the 09', but I didn't want her to change her mind while waiting for them to show up at dealerships.
Lintramp - the ONLY way you could be having a problem is no air in the back shocks- put in 20 lbs. I went from an 07 EGC to an 09 SG- the lowered 09 SG has a better ride- but only with air in the shocks
