I use a Garmin i3 on my Warrior. Love it 10 times more than my high priced Zumo

Yeah I've been looking at the price of the Zumo units and am starting to think that one of the cheaper solutions might be a better option...

Anyone had experience with this particular harness?
Just make sure the "hardwire" that you use steps down the voltage to the required 5v..

I'd suggest you get a Ram-Mount, put it up on the clutch side.
But if you use a Tank Bag, you can get a hardwire kit that steps it down from 12v to 5v with a usb on the other end. Check out this site

This is great for a bag

Just try a gps and you'll never go back.

btw...I use a Garmin Nuvi 260 with a Ram Mount....no vibration problems so far.
I called Garmin and was told; "Over a period of time it might develope some problems because it is not 'motorcycle friendly'."

so far it works great.
i can agree with this. i have had a garmin 650 for 1.5yrs and the screen went dead. touch screen shot. was it the vibration of the bike?? who knows but it is now dead. so i am looking for a replacement. one thing to look for is the adding of multiple routes. point a to point b to point c and so on. i have found the 750 can do this. found it at sams for $199

I bought a Magellan Roadmate 2200t, and have it mounted on the handlebar. It is waterproof, and has a battery that lasts about 8 hours, has a xd memory slot with a built in MP3 player. Love it, and you can find them online for less than $100...

I have been using a Garmin Quest 2 on my bike for about 3 years now and it is almost useless. I get more "Lost Satellite Signal" as time goes on and then have to reboot, rather annoying during a trip. This all started about the end of last summer, until then it worked like a champ. So the warning about over time degradation is a valid concern.
I just ordered a TomTom Rider 2 and am hoping it will last and work as well as my Garmin used to.

Default Nuvi 760 for me

I use a nuvi 760, and haven't had any problems with vibration. Load up mp3s on the SD card, run a cable from the GPS to the aux in on the radio, and you hear voice prompts through the sound system. The best part for me, though, is that I can plan routes on the HD Ride Planner and import the routes into the GPS.
