Lowering Bracket Vs. shocks
Mine was fine with the blocks and I really loved the way it handled. But when we went 2 up, I would bottom out and then the tire tore through the wiring harness on the inside of the fender. So now I'm back to stock, until I can find what I want in a smaller shock.
hey dudes with road king classics-dont let the advertisers fool you that lowering blocks can't be installed because of the hard leather bags-all you have to do (and a chimpanzee can do this) !!IS TAKE A COMMON HOUSEHOLD HAIR/BLOW DRYER AND SOFTEN UP THE PLASTIC ON THE BACK OF THE BAGS AND PUSH IN WITH THE PALMS OF YOUR HANDS UNTIL THEY FIT THE CONFORM OF THE ANGLE OF THE SHOCK-SHEESH-WHAT A BUNCH OF CRYBABYS-JUST KIDDING-I GOT A SET ON EBAY THAT WOULD LOWER MY RKC TO AS MUCH AS 3 INCHES-I CHOSE THE 2 INCH SETTING WITH A PASSENGER AND PUMPED UP THE AIR SHOCKS A LITTLE AND HAVE NOT BOTTOMED OUT SINCE-PEOPLE WHO SAY YOU REALLY NEED TO CHANGE SHOCKS DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT-8,000 MILES WITH THE REAR LOWERING KIT AND NO PROBLEMS YET-MIKE
