no one asked but if you wanted a fairing on a bike why did ya get the RKC ? should swap for an flhtc or flhtcu ,,,that being said yes the hoppe is a decent one although its quick disconnect ability is questionable but for about 60 bucks you can get some awesome black quality leather and with patience completely cover the entire fairing so it matches the blk leather look of the bike
Why you ask? because some people like the option of being able to remove the fairing for around town cruising or bar hopping. How would an flhtc or flhtcu accomplish this?? it wouldn't, but a RKC and (for me) dead center fairing seem like a pretty good answer. I personally like the look of my RKC without windshield or fairing so quick detach is the only option.
if you go with 6.5 you can go coaxal, triaxle, or component ( seperate tweeter and woofer with xovers) and you can always open up the hole to accept 6x9's
Has anyone heard anything bad about the radio antenna on the Tsukayu batwing fairing?
I was just going to post about this. I have the Tsukayu and it is, by far, the absolute worst radio antenna I have ever had. The little piece of wire on my cheapo garage radio works better.
Anyone know of a better idea? I'm about ready to mount a car antenna between the saddlebags like the street glide uses and just have 2 things to plug in instead of one.
Ever notice how many aftermarket fairings are available? Ever see alot of used ones for sale? The majority (almost all) that install a fairing love them and keep them on the bike.
How true, I rode for years and "would NEVER have a windshield or anything of the likes on the bike". Well, 35 years later, lotsa windshields and 2 batwing fairings, I would never own a bike without one again.
Thats the funny thing about that word "never".......Be careful how you use it....
