I just put the gas cap on the seat, not like I will ever forget it when it is on the seat.

All good ideas. Seems that putting it on top of pump is a bad idea. Somewhere obvious on bike makes sense.

I too put mine on the seat, but with a Road King it's not like you would ride off without the gas cap

I went with the EGlideGoodies cap for my Glide...WOrks great, can actually SEE when its not in place in front of me, and elliminates that annoying and akward lid placement that harley came up with. I spilled more gas on my tank then in it for a while due to not being able to see the gas level as I filled up. Not anymore...
