Jack threads are getting as bad and as common as oil threads.
New available information and new members to the forum are the main reason that subjects like these are repeated quite often. My original question was simply asking if we had any sponsors here on the forum that sell a quality jack. I was thinking that maybe we could organize a group buy or maybe even hear about a product other than J & S , Pitbull or Craftsman .
I have not used it. However, looks like it's sold at Ace Hardware also, though at a higher price. 2 reviews there that rate it pretty good. (Though what can you really tell from 2 reviews...)
I actually looked around for a while and this one is bigger and beefier than most under $200.00. I don’t know how Harbor Freight sells it so cheap because I saw the same jack for almost $200 at other stores. I think it is very stable but I wouldn’t jump on the back seat and expect it to be as stable as the J&S or Pitbull. But then it is less than a fifth the price of those jacks as well. My thinking was if I didn’t like it, I was only risking $75 and I could sell it on Craigs list for close to that. But, I am very happy with it. Make sure you get their Yellow one. There other one for $10 less is not good.
Pit Bull. Very solid and larger wheels than the J&S.
Here with the XL tied down, the RKC will just sit there on it's own, wider frame and lower center of gravity. Great lift.
