None of the jack makers are sponsors of this site. J&S did, at one time, give a discount to us, but not any more.
I have a J&S jack. It's very well made...at least most of it. I'm on my third hydraulic bottle. They're Chinese...enough said.
If I were to do it all over again, I would've spent the extra money and gone with the Pitbull jack. J&S has cheerfully sent new bottles every time they fail, but it's a pain in the rear. I've had some downtime on projects due to jack failure. I haven't heard of any of the Pitbull owners complaining about issues like this, or for that matter, anything.
I have a pit bull and I am very happy. If you can you should buy it at a bike show or a rally
to save shiping. check with them they might be in your area
I bought a craftsman aluminum bike jack a little expensive but worth it as far as I am concerned. It's been well used and haven't had any problems as of yet.I store my bike on it for the winter also...
Jack threads are getting as bad and as common as oil threads.
You are gonna get alot of opinions on this. Pitbull is better than J&S. J&S is better than Pitbull. My cheapo Craftsman jack is just fine. The Craftsman Yello is the cats meow. Etc, etc, etc. Do a search on J&S and Pitbull (the two most popular higher quality jacks) and you will get plenty of opinions.
