So that will work with the run light / brake light tri-bar??

Yes, Jay, the run/brake version uses the same connector that the stock SG LED uses--the bike's tour pak harness.

Another good source of information are the installation instructions included with that accessory. Parts counter folks at the HD store will usually print it out from their computer for you if you ask. For example, if you had the installation instructions it would explain how to remove the stock LED and replace it with the run/brake version, including the electrical connection.

Good luck with your project.

If you have a road glide and want to use the chamber in the top left of the tail light board how would you do this? Will I need to find that amp connector that fits in there and replace the plug on the Tri-Bar?? If so what plug do I need to get and how do I wire it to the plug? I would like to reserve the one for the tour pack for a letter date.

Functions as run & brake light now.

The socket housing that plugs into the circuit board is HD part no. 73153-96BK, and the pins that attach to the wire ends are HD part no. 73191-96.

These are the same parts that an Electra Glide uses for the fender tip light. IIRC, the far left chamber in the socket housing is ground and the far right chamber is the run light; the center position is for the brake light.

The HD fender extension/tri-bar light HD sells uses the same connector/pins but also uses the center location for the brake light.

Good luck with your project.
