Help with replacing tank

Any idea of why or what I would need to put a newer tank on my '98 FLHRCI? Most fo the ones I see and like are all for '99 and newer. I am sure one could be made to work, hoepfully easy. Just curious as if any techs,e tc would know?

You can ONLY USE a tank for the MM system (up to 01)

02 and on are the Delphi systems.....

MM have a dual fuel line set-up...

Delphi is a solo....

Thanks Bob. Most replacemnt (stock HD replacements at least) say it's up to '98, then '99 up. Was the MM on Kings up to '01?

Fittings changed a bit in 99... You can get away with fabbing a later tank to a newer bike....

But not Vice-Versa.....

All MM went up to 01....

From then on....

Delphi...
